synced wrong ipod to new iphone

My son accidentally synced his sister's ipod to his new iphone instead of his. How can he delete that and start again?

You don't sync an iPhone to iPod at all.

You sync an iPhone, iPod, iPad to a computer not to each other.

Please explain
