I forgot the passcode to my ipod5 and I can't connect to iTunes?

Hey, I managed to misstype the passcode to my ipod TWICE when I was changing the passcode. So I set a passcode that I don't know. Anyways, it says connect to iTunes, but I can't because I don't know the passcode... and I've tried holding the buttons in a certain way but I still can't get it to work? I can't do this for the life of me.
