I have lost all my contacts from address book when installing Yosemite. I now have an app called contacts with no contacts except 5 that I added after downloading Yosemite. Does any one know an easy retrieval?

Same think happened to me. In the user library->application support->address book, I found a zip file titled Migrationandabunchofnumbers Your contacts are in this zip folder.
EDIT: It's .tbz, here was the actual name of the folder Migration 20160128153940-2308.abbu.tbz
