Connect my iphone messages to my Macbook imessage

On my macbook I am logged in on I messages but whenever I try to send a text it wont let me and keeps saying bonjour in the box where i enter the text. Also it keeps saying offline and online and switches back and forth. How can i fix this or just be able to log out and start over so that I can connect my iphone 6 to my macbook pro.

Hi Sophsters22,

It sounds like you want to be able to use both your iPhone and your MacBook Pro to continue the same messaging conversations. Is that right?

You can use Apple's Continuity feature to do this, if your hardware and software meet the system requirements. See this article for how to set it up and use it - Use Continuity to connect your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Mac.
