Why can't I use the gestures to move my screen to a different spot on my screen.

Before the new El Captain update there was a gesture you could use to move an app from around the screen by using 3 finger slide, but now that is no longer on the gesture options and I wanted to know how I could bring it back. I personally like to have more than two screens/ apps open. The split screen only does two screens and that doesn't help me when I need more than one opened. That gesture helped me navigate through the different screens I need in a fast manner without having to go onto an app to move the screen.
