My iPhone touch screen doesn't work in my dorm room

I have an iPhone 6s and sometimes, but only when I'm in my dorm room, my touch screen and finger print recognition stop working. It will click on things I didn't touch and sometimes click things without me touching it at all and it won't go away for hours. My roommate and other people who have tried using their iPhone in my room have also experienced this same problem after being in here for a while. It doesn't start right immediately, but after I've been in there for a while, it will start to act up. I've been using my phone in this room for months and the problem only started a week or two ago. What could be causing this?
