Hi Ann,

GANTT charts are probably better handled in software designed for project management.

That said, Jerrold Green did make a numbers document capable of producing GANTT charts. He hasn't been posting here for some time now, but I've created a similar document based on his design. Screen shot below. Email me directly if you'd like a copy of the file. It's done in Numbers '09, but will open and work in Numbers 3.
