Power adapter issue

Power adapter issue

As per the apple protection, if power adapter does not have any physical damage it should be replced by apple. I enquired the same for my power adapter which is not damaged physically. they refused to replace it. May i know the reason please?

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2012), OS X El Capitan (10.11.1)
