From the app store on my iPad, I search for "Apple News App" in the "explore" section. The first app that appears has a picture that says "News" with an explanation:

"News delivers the best stories from your favourite sources, elected just for you. (requires iOS 9 or later)"

below that it says "Open News"

I select that and it takes me to safari, which then has "localhost" in the URL / address bar. and in the browser it says "Safari cannot open the page because the address is invalid"

I have iOS 9.1

A normal search for the news app comes up with nothing.

Any help to locate the news app and get it working appreciated.

iPad Pro Wi-Fi, iOS 9.1, null

The news app is currently US only. If you live in the US go to settings> general> restrictions> News and see if it's been restricted.
