Why do the controls on the powerbeats wireless wont work? I used them 5 times

I have used the powerbeats wireless I bought around 4 or 5 times only. Now the controls on the powerbeats (to change volume and shift musics) dont work, I can only change the volume directly from my cellphone and the headphones.
