File Sharing App Icons Missing in iTunes

iTunes 12.3.1.23 on Windows 8.1 64 bit

Whenever I hookup my iPad and go to Apps to "Add File" the first few icons on the left are always missing / blank. As you can see in my example the apps like Adobe Reader are actually still there because when you highlight one you get the description of it above the right hand column. I can actually still add files as usual, but it's inconvenient to have to click a bunch of blank apps to try and figure out which one I need.

Does anyone have a solution for this?
