Airport extreme dual band 802.11 making "buzzing" sound when power supply is attached

Hi,

what most likely is wrong with my Airport Extreme?

My Airport extreme dual band 802.11 is making "buzzing" sound when power supply is attached. The sound vanishes right away when the supply is disconnected and starts as soon as you plugged it back in. This started two weeks ago and it is really annoying.

Thx,

Laura

Most likely the issue is a bad capacitor in the power supply. These can fail and are, unfortunately, not user serviceable ... unless you have experience with electronics repair. You can try Apple, but chances are you will have better luck getting a replacement from another source, like Impact Computers & Electronics or eBay. Sorry.
