When playing an album (Photos), the pictures are blurred

When I want to view my new pictures with Photos, in the form of an album, the pictures are blurred for a while.

It takes time for the picture to get sharp. Some even don't.

I have a lot of photos and the latest ones are about 5 tot 6 Mb each.

To many to big???

The short answer is likely to be that Photos is blowing up the thumbnail to give you an immediate view while it is reading the complete image files.

If you want a longer answer, please give us some more information:

What vintage/model iMac do you have? What configuration (memory, storage, processor)?

What version of Photos?

What settings do you have in Photos > Preferences > iCloud? (In particular, if "iCloud Photo Library" is enabled, is "Download Originals to this Mac" or "Optimize Mac Storage" selected?)

When playing an album (Photos), the pictures are blurred
