How do you access music tags

Unless I'm mistaken, it appears that Apple still needs to update music tagging to work with the new iPhone capabilities. There doesn't appear to be a way to view Tagged music on your iPhone unless you still do music syncing through iTunes. If you sync to the cloud, music tags just seem to be useless. You would think Apple would want to fix this so that users could purchase music that they hear on the radio more easily through Apple. Am I missing something here?
