How do I type a number 6 to the second power

I am writing a genealogy family discription and need to place numbers to the second power. Is there a way to do that?

Hi Bee,

Do you want to type 6² (as shown by SG) or do you want to calculate 6² ?

To calculate a number to the second power,

Formula in B2 (and Fill Down)

=A2^2
