Can I use my time capsule on my network without using wireless

Can I connect and backup to my time capsule using only the ethernet connection. I don't want to backup wireless since on my computers are hardwired to the network. And also can I easily add more storage to the 3TB drive?

Sure

Afraid not. You would have to open up the Time Capsule (a difficult task for a technician, which voids the warranty) and replace the 3TB drive with a larger drive. If you need more storage, you really have two viable options:

1) Add a USB drive to the USB port on the Time Caspule

2) Add another Time Capsule

The downside.......the two drives will not behave as if they were a single drive.

So I can plug an external hard drive into the time capsule?

Sure, that is why it has a USB port.

if so then the time capsule will be one drive and the external will be another drive?

Yes, we told you that previously.

if so then can I have a couple time machine back ups from going to one drive and a couple back ups from other computers going to the external?

Sure
