Ipad 2 only show Apple logo when turned on. What is happening?

When I turn my IPad 2 on all I get is the Apple Logo. It will not go pass that I have charged it. Purchased another charger and nothing is going on. I purchased it in 2012 and it has been working great ever since until yesterday when I try to use it and the Apple Logo only displays and it will not go pass that point. Is it dead? Can it be serviced. Need help on this.
