Q: sequence problem

Edited a 3 min piece then next day decided to replace a clip. However I cannot get that sequence message for matching.

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8), 2.5 GHz 2GB Ram 2TB & 500GB ext

    You will only be prompted to have the sequence match the source clip settings when your are editing material into a new, empty sequence.

    Once a sequence is established, if the properties of the clip you want to use do not match the sequence settings, you must conform the clip to those settings.
