headphone input specifications?

I'm buying AKG K712 headphones and they are 62 ohms. Will these work directly with the headphone jack on my Macbook Pro or will I need a headphone amplifier? I contacted AKG and they said that will depend on your computer’s headphone input specifications. They were not able to find the answer for me on the Apple site so they suggested I contact Apple for the answer.

I realize that I can just try them but I would love to have this resolved by the time the headphones arrive so I can begin using them as soon as possible.
