Phone wont turn on and only display apple logo on and off when plugged in?

My phone was turning off by itself for a few day but i was able to turn it back on. tonight it turned off but wont turn back. when i plug it in to charger the apple logo just keeps appearing and dissapearing. It wont leave me update in recovery mode. Help anyone?
