No.
So, in order to do the same work I'm doing in FCP7 I have to buy QT Pro, too, right? What else do I need to do, Tom?
Thank you!
Hard to say without knowing what the same work is. Not sure what you're doing in QT Pro that you can't do in MPEG Streamclip. You might also want Compressor for more processing options.
If you have FCP Studio and installed it on your machine, QT7Pro's advanced features were automatically unlocked. At the time FCP Studio was around, QT7 was still being included with Mac OS installs (I think it might have been removed in ... Mountain Lion?) and could be found in the Applications > Utilities folder. If you have an unlocked version, there is no need to purchase another copy (even if it currently resides on another machine.) QT7Pro still works perfectly in El Capitan.
If you own a license for FCP7 you own a license for QT Pro,
"as far as I know"
