Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

I use an application "Mouse Locator" by 2point5fish.com but this seems to conflict with my operating system - Mac OS X 10.10.5.

Have used an Application "Mouse Locator" for several years and find it very useful because I work with three large Apple cinema monitors as a freelance Architectural CAD technician.

I use an early 2009 Mac Pro with 2 x 2.26 MHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon processors, 14 GB of memory, currently running Mac OS X 10.10.5 operating system.

Since the last couple of system updates my computer has developed problems with speed. As the day progresses everything gradually slows down and invariably by mid-afternoon I have to re-boot to get any work done. Over a period of several weeks I have been systematically closing down applications in an effort to elliminate them. Nothing has helped until this.

To use Mouse Locator I have to activate it every time by opening the System Preferences panel and checking the “Activate Mouse Locator” box. On earlier versions of the Mac operating systems, Mouse Locator started automatically so not sure if this is a conflict.

Yesterday I forgot to activate Mouse Locator and surprisingly my computer worked perfectly all day - not slowing down at all. To see if this was a coincidence I purposely left Mouse locator off again today, and again no problems developed.

My quandary therefore is whether Mouse Locator is somehow causing the slow-down. Has anyone else had a similar problem?

Power Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.5), Also have Mac book pro

There were a number of items in the report sections "Startup items", "System Launch Agents" and "System Launch Daemons" which were highlighted in red, unfortunately the colour does not show on this copy. Mainly these are No or Invalid signatures but I din't know how to rectify them.

Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated.

Try re-indexing Spotlight. That may reduce the high mdworker CPU.

Also remove CleanMyMac

Re: CleanMyMAc Removal

and Clamx antivirus using their uninstall instructions.

Have two aps like that can cause problems. None are needed.

Also remove the app associated with:
