my computer is whirring and heating up after updating to EL Captain and downloading adobe creative cloud

my computer is whirring and heating up after updating to EL Captain and downloading adobe creative cloud. I have been in contact with adobe and gone through several steps to solve the problem including running creative cloud cleaner and applications manager. The computer is making lots of noise and was overheating and shutting down.
