just finished editing video in iMovie. I cannot find it.
Its not in the iMovie Events or Project folders. I'm afraid to close out iMovie until i find the file. Thanks.

Which version of iMovie are you using?
Do you mean that you are looking for the project file in the Finder or have you shared (exported) it and are looking for the movie file?
iMovie Events and iMovie Project folders were used by iMovie 9 and earlier and will still be present after updating to iMovie 10 but iMovie 10 puts everything in libraries with the extension '.imovielibrary'. These are packages which you can look into b right-clicking and selecting 'show package contents'. Don't change anything in them though.
