iphone 6s stops playing music to apple tv

My new iphone 6s will stop playing music (and videos, hulu, etc.). It stops playing after 30-60 seconds to my old apple tv, to my new apple tv.

If I steam all the same from my iphone 6s to my google chomecast, its flawless.

If I steam music from any of our mac computers to apple devices works flawless.

Phones, network (airport), computers, apple tv, all Apple, why does this not work together well? At my wits end, please help!
