Closed Captioning keeps turning on

I have the 4th Gen Apple TV and the Closed Captioning feature keeps turning on when I watch Netflix. I have tried the following with no success:

-Checking my system settings to ensure the closed captioning feature is "off"

-Checked the settings on my Netflix account

-Ran a software update

-Tried a system reset to default settings

Apple TV, tvOS 9.0.1

I am having the same issue with my 4th generation Apple TV, and I have even contacted Apple Support. I was on the phone with a technician for nearly 30 minutes, and did not receive any resolution to this issue. I was told to contact Netflix and report the problem, as the issue only seems to happen when using the Netflix app via Apple TV.
