Sometimes as soon as I press down on the lock the bottom plate falls on its own, other times it seems to be a struggle. But a downward press should release it.

Dec 1, 2015 7:34 PM in response to ceevans62by macjack,Like I said, the slide switch can be difficult sometimes. All I can suggest is to use something softer like a new pencil not sharpened to a point instead of a butter knife.

Dec 2, 2015 12:57 AM in response to ceevans62by seventy one,Individual mice will have individual faults but in general I find that holding the mouse upside down and flicking the black rectangle with my middle finger nail removes the back. It doesn't need strength, just a little practice.
