Uber app wont go past the initial black screen

Hi I have an iPhone5s using IOS 9.1. The Uber app wont go beyond the initial black screen, it simply remains there with the beacon thing as if it were emitting a signal. I've already uninstalled and installed back again the application, but it won't work either. I thought there could be an issue with location permissions, so I reset all settings to default but still the app doesn't work. Can someone please help? I have contacted uber but they say their app is working normally and that I should contact Apple directly. I don't know what else to do.
