Q: Iphone licence in schools

We are looking at getting iphones in our school - we are only aimin to use a couple of free apps and possible itunes on them - do I need licences for all of them ? Im a bit confused when it comes to only using free apps.

My query is however is do I need a licence to cover it all. I know that with Itunes one account can go across 5 devices but with regards to using itunes and other apps in a school/business setting do I need another additional licence to cover the usage? or do you mean just create a new ID for each phone and that should be fine?
