How do I recover deleted folder deleted from trash?

I thought since I no longer needed IPHOTO that it could be deleted and it took my folder along with it for whatever reason with all of my customer files 😟

MacBook Pro (15-inch Early 2011), OS X El Capitan (10.11.1)
