Gen 4 or 5 iPod; which has the 8 pin lightning connector

I bought a used iPod on eBay, ad states its a 4th generation, when it arrived, it has the 8 pin connector, not the 30. I want to buy a case and screen protector, but not sure of the model. Anyone know which generation this might be?

The 4th generation has the 30 pin connector. Newer models have the Lightning connector.

Never mind folks, after looking around on the internet, I've discovered this is actually an iPhone 5S and NOT an iPod.
