Q: Verification code problems

I am trying to log in to iTunes on my desktop.  It keeps telling me to enter my password followed by my verification code.  I have done this numerous times and it keeps telling me my password is wrong and locks me out.  So frustrating! I have been doing this, changing my password, unlocking for over 30 minutes now and can not figure it out.  Anyone know the correct format to enter the code with password?  Password space 3 digits space 3 digits or no spaces, one space...???

    Hi abcmccormick1,

I'm sorry to hear you are having this issue with iTunes. I'm a bit unclear on the exact prompt you are describing, but it sounds like it may be Two-Factor Authentication, as described here:

Frequently asked questions about two-step verification for Apple ID - Apple Support

Note: As mentioned in that article, normally in cases where you are being prompted for your password plus a verification code, you would enter your password, then enter the verification code separately; you wouldn't enter them together in the same prompt. Also, Two Factor Authentication verification codes are 4 digits sent to your registered device. If this isn't what you are seeing or describing, any additional information about the exact prompt you are seeing may be useful.
