How to extract pictures on MAC

Okey, in Windows I know where specific folder with pictures is located for instance:

C:\pictures

and from here I can extract, delete, transfer pictures of folder. I can open in different program as well any picture I want from this location.

But it's hard for me to figure out where and in which folder all my pictures in MAC)))???? I know this is sounds funny but it's what it is.

My pictures seems to be locataed in the APP but all this pictures have actual physical location on the disk, where is that would be? So I can excract pictures if I need to.

Thank you

MacBook Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11)

Are you using Photos to import your photos on your Mac?

The Photos.app manages the imported photos and stores them in the Photos Library. This is package of database files and folders with your photos, and by default it is stored in the Pictures folder in your home folder.

The Photos Library looks like this:

User uploaded file

The folders with your photos are hidden in this library. You are not supposed to access them directly. Use Photos for this.

Photos stores your original image files inside, but the edited versions of your photos do not exist as image files. Photos stores the sequence of edits to render them from the original, but saves storage by not storing the edited version as well. if you are using iCloud Photo Library the original image files will be stored in iCloud and depending on your preferences they will not be stored on your Mac at all, only smaller optimized versions.

Most applications will show the Photos Library in the Media Browser, when you need to access the photos or use File > Export to export a photo if you want to use it in another application.
