If this is NEW, what event immediately preceded its onset? - add software, upgrade or update? New equipment? ANYTHING at all.

Dec 2, 2015 10:17 AM in response to juliettafromnicosiaby ChitlinsCC,ABP (and maybe others) can have 'unexpected consequences' for SOME folks. Disable from the drop down in the toolbar of your browser. You also might try Firefox if you have not already.
The next thing I would try is starting your browser(s) in Safe mode to disable ALL add-ons... if that works, add them back one at a time to find the culprit.

iPhoneBbefore you try that, open Safari, and in the menu bar, go to Safari > Preferences > Extensions. Select AdBlock, and uncheck the "Enable" checkbox. Try subscribing to something on YouTube. If it still doesn't work you can reenable AdBlock.

Dec 2, 2015 10:42 AM in response to juliettafromnicosiaby ChitlinsCC,I don't use Chrome or Safari, but in Firefox, I have button on the Firefox [Help] menu > Troubleshooting Information page = "Restart with add-ons disabled..."
5 Ways to Disable Add Ons - wikiHow
shows how to disable individual add-ons in various browsers
If you have not ever used Firefox, downloading it and trying your issue immediately will tell you if an add-on is at play (no add-ons YET in a new install?)

Dec 2, 2015 12:20 PM in response to juliettafromnicosiaby ChitlinsCC,Far be it from me to speak for our good friend Eric, but what you have proved is that the problem lies in a NON-Apple add-on to "something" -
You need to disable browser add-ons as described in the article "5 Ways to Disable Add Ons - wikiHow" until you isolate the culprit

iPhoneI will repeat my previous suggestion:
Before you try that, open Safari, and in the menu bar, go to Safari > Preferences > Extensions. Select AdBlock, and uncheck the "Enable" checkbox. Try subscribing to something on YouTube. If it still doesn't work you can reenable AdBlock.
