Q: how to stop an outgoing mail in Mac mail

When you are sending an email there is no stop sign next to the bar that shows sending progress bottom right of the mailbox list.

Versions previous to El Capitan had this function.

How do you stop the progress of an email that is being sent.

Look forward to your reply

Sorry Barney, we use Apple Mail for business and transfer attachements up to 30 MB.

If you are in a hurry and discover a mistake after press SEND, some months ago I had the chance to stop

and UNDO the transfer. Today I was exactly in that situation again to send an Mail but to the wrong recipient (similar name...)

I discovered that in a second but had no chance to cancel the process. I killed that Mail from the outbox,

but the process was still going on and on...

I NEED THE "X" back in APPLE MAIL!!!

What´s the problem with it? It´s like a panic button with the chance to stop a problem immediately.

If you are late OK, it was too late to undo. My problem.

But if I am in time to undo, Apple you let me stand in the rain without an UNDO-X

Thank you to bring it BACK for emergency situations.

As was mentioned previously, this is a user to user forum. No one here is from Apple. Let your wish be known…
