Q: Why does Preview start with a file dialog when it opens now?
The latest version of Preview now wants you to select a file when it opens. I use Preview to create quick screen shots from the clipboard and this behavior is a hassle. It requires me to close this dialog so I can select new to show my screen grab. Is there a way to turn this off so it goes back to the old way of just opening the program without the file select dialog? plist change or something?

Maybe I'm not calling it by the right name, the file browser. When I capture a screen shot, most of the time you have to save it, for instance to upload to this post, or to circle a button someone needs to push, etc. In the past I would open Preview and hit CMD-N and whatever I just captured onto the clipboard is now opened in Preview. Now when I open Preview, I get the file browser asking me to open a file, I click the Done button and then press CMD-N. I seem to have answered my own question. It appears, I don't have to press "Done" on the file browser window, I can just press CMD-N right away.
