Local DMZ?

I need a DETAILED guide on how to create a local DMZ on my Apple Time Capsule for my Xbox One using the Airport Utility App, as I don't have a Mac. I've tried multiple guides, but they're all missing a few details that cause me to fail.

We have no idea what guides that you might have tried, so we have no way to know what details might be missing from the guides. It would really help if you could post the steps in a few guides that you have tried, or provide a link to those guides.

Keep in mind that the Apple AirPort routers are NOT on the list of approved Xbox compatible routers, so that might be affecting things here as well.

One guide has the steps of: switch to static IP, input IP of console into Default Host for DMZ. Another said: Disable Port Mappaing Protocal, turn of IPv6 searching, input IP address of console into Default Host for DMZ. A third said: turn off IPSec authorization and input console IP address into Default Host for DMZ. I'm aware that Apple'a routers aren't very compatible with Xbox One, it wasn't my first choice; but I'm not switching router's and I'd rather set up a local DMZ.

First thing first the TC must be in router mode.. and it must be the only router.. it would help to know what is the device in front of it.. what modem do you have .. Most important you must NOT DOUBLE NAT.

Factory reset the TC.

Open the airport utility on the ipad. I am assuming you have fully setup the TC with nice short names.. etc.

Go to advanced and Network and DHCP and NAT

Open the default host (DMZ)

Put in the IP for xbox

Then set the IP via dhcp reservation (or directly on the xbox).

Then do done, done done until you apply the settings.

The Default host must be static IP to make sure it doesn't change.

Disable port mapping is not needed but no ports should be mapped. You pick one or the other not both.

IPSec authorisation is irrelevant .. it is not used or needed. Do not use BTMM on the TC though.

Then try it.. I cannot guarantee it will work..

I think you are better mapping the ports and NOT using DMZ.
