Q: Trying to reset iPhone 5s. It will not accept my Apple ID password, but I know it's correct. Please advise.

I am trying to reset my previous iPhone 5s to factory settings. It is requiring me to log in with my Apple ID. It will not accept my password. I just used the same password to log into this website, and I purchased a song on iTunes on my new phone with the same password. So, the password is most certainly correct. I tried restoring through iTunes on the computer, but it is requiring me to log in on the phone and disable the Find My iPhone. Since iCloud will not accept my password, I cannot restore via computer.

Please advise.

That means the Apple ID used to enable Find my iPhone is not your Apple ID, it is the Apple ID of a previous owner.

Hmmm. I'm the only one to ever own that particular phone and the Apple ID is the same as the current one I'm using and have always used and used on the iPhone 5s that I am trying to erase. It even auto populates the username, which I cannot change. It's just the password that is having the issue. I just don't understand why the phone is not accepting the password. It's the same Apple ID account.

Did you recently change the email address for your Apple ID? If so, see: If you're asked for the password to your previous Apple ID in iCloud - Apple Support
