iPhone 5S stuck in recovery mode

Hi, I recently tried to restore my iPhone to iOS 9.0.2 since it wasn't running that well on iOS 9.1. Now it says to restore my iPhone (which I'm fine with). iTunes says that I have to then restore my phone then update it since that's the only option I can choose but then it gives me an error message (5). So I press update and restore but it says that I then have to restore my phone again and goes through the same loop. If anyone's got an explanation and a solution please post it here.

Downgrading is not supported by apple and you cannot downgrade to iOS 9.0.2 anyway since apple stopped signing that firmware. In order to restore your device to working condition on iOS 9.1, you must put the iPhone 5S into DFU mode and then restore from iTunes.

To put your iPhone into DFU mode:

  1. Plug your device into your computer with a USB cable.
  2. Turn off the device.
  3. Hold the Power button for 3 seconds.
  4. Hold the Home and Power buttons for 10 seconds.
  5. Release the Power button but keep holding the Home button.
  6. After about 15 seconds you will be alerted by iTunes saying that it has detected a device in Recovery Mode.

Now click on Restore and wait for the restore to finish!

Hope this helps!
