Dec 3, 2015 8:47 AM in response to mejanderby FoxFifth,If the photos were placed onto the phone by using iTunes to sync them from a computer, you delete them from the phone by syncing again but use the instructions below from Sync photos from your computer to your iOS device using iTunes - Apple Support
- In iTunes, locate and click on your device.
- Click Photos.
- Choose "Selected albums" and deselect the albums or collections you want to delete.
To delete all synced photos, deselect "Sync Photos from" and, when asked, click "Remove photos." - Click Apply.

If the photos are no longer on the computer, use the instructions in the link in the last line above. In that case you may also want to first use 3rd party software to recover a copy of them from the phone before you delete them. One example is https://www.wideanglesoftware.com/touchcopy/
