Q: Can't use FaceTime audio to make international calls
Hello everyone,
I have seen in numerous places that you can use FaceTime on an iPad or Mac that is connected to wifi and your Apple ID to make phone calls to any number. I am currently traveling in Europe and have an iPhone, but no SIM card, an iPad, and a Macbook Air and I am only using Wifi everywhere since it's free. I have tried numerous times to call different international numbers and numbers in the USA with FaceTime on my devices while I am traveling and it never works. My boyfriend is somehow able to use his iPhone to make FaceTime audio calls to any number, but every device I try on, it never works. I am signed into FaceTime, and I can use FaceTime video to call family and friends back home who have an iPhone, but when I try to call using FaceTime audio to a restaurant in Italy for example, or my credit card company back home, it never works. I really can't understand what I'm missing as I thought all you needed was wifi to do this.
Any help is appreciated as I just can't figure it out. Thank you!
