Mounted Share Points disconnecting when changing network location

I have 2 issues somewhat related:

1) sharepoint shortcuts that i add to my dock while connected via Airport do not work when connected by ethernet (and vice versa)

2) I currently have 2 active network connections (airport and ethernet). Once I disconnect my ethernet cord, I get disconnected from my network sharepoints even though my airport connection is still active.

can anyone help?
