powerbook G4 max ram?

Hi

I have been reading through the forum and found some useful hints. My Mac is slow and it is due to my puny RAM (256) on the 12" G4 867 hz. I want to upgrade this but would like to know the maximum I can increase my ram to. Some sites (crucial.com) give a maximum of 512+128 whereas other sites give me a possibility of 1024 + 128. Can anyone help me on what is the maximum RAM for this machine?

PowerBook G4 12" 867, Mac OS X (10.4.2)

your max ram is 1GB of PC2100 ram

Thanks for that. Forgive my ignorance but if I pop in a 1024 card and am up to 1.2 with the other 128, what happens to the excess ram. Will my laptop functon?

it wont read it. i dunno. it should funcion just not be able to read the 128MB stick

Maximum RAM for your PB is 1152 MBs. Check out your options at ramseeker.
