Q: magic mouse will not reconnect after mbp sleeps

I have a MBP Retina running El Capitan V 10.11.1 (15B42)

                                                 Model Name: MacBook Pro

                                                 Model Identifier: MacBookPro10,1

                                                 Processor Name: Intel Core i7

                                                 Processor Speed: 2.7 GHz

                                                 Number of Processors: 1

                                                 Total Number of Cores: 4

L2 Cache (per Core): 256 KB

  L3 Cache: 8 MB

  Memory: 16 GB

I can only pair my magic mouse with the MBP if I shut down the computer all the way and then pair up the mouse right as soon as I log in. Then the mouse will work for the whole day. When I close my lid, my MBP goes to sleep.

When the MBP wakes up when I open the lid again, the mouse will be in the device list in the bluetooth menu but will not reconnect or be detected.

Things that I have already tried:

Make sure that there are no EMF sources close to my workstation (microwave ovens or wireless phones)

Changed the batteries for fresh ones.

Turn off the mouse and turn on again in order to force into "Pair or Reconnect" mode.

Turn off bluetooth on the mac.

Pairing another mouse (same model A1296) with my computer : DOES NOT WORK

Pairing my mouse with another computer (another MBP running El Cap): YES THE MOUSE WORKS and pairs up quickly.

Would appreciate some help. Thanks in Advance.
