My wireless printer sometimes prints, sometimes "not responding"

I have hooked up a printer to my wireless network. It used to print fine from my macbook. Now, I get the error "The printer is not responding". But sometimes after a long while (30 minutes) it will print. Sometimes if I turn the printer on and off and wait it will print. But it is very erratic. I have tried deleting the printer from system preferences and readding it. The computer sees it on the wireless network and I can set it up again. But still the same problem. Any idea what this might be?

It's possible that the printer (or your Mac for that matter) does not have good connectivity to the Wireless network? Try getting the printer and Mac all in the same room as your wireless router and then do some testing. If that works without problems then it may just be a Wireless signal or interference issue.
