iTunes option "manually manage music and videos" can't be unchecked.

I changed my options on iTunes and now i can not uncheck "manually manage music and videos". I tried to uncheck it and then clicked "Apply" and after that it still remains unchecked. The first image shows the option checked. The 2nd image shows that "manually manage music and videos" been unchecked and i clicked apply. After i clicked apply "manually manage music and videos" still remains checked. I want to know how to uncheck "manually manage music and videos" and keep it unchecked. Any suggestions?
