Received an Error 43 warning when I tried to remove an icon from the right side of the screen by taking it to the trash can. The icon appeared on the screen after I opened an Email that showed up it was Malware. I put it into Email trash and then into Trash Can. I have Norton AntiVirus and want to make sure I have it completely off my computer, before I start my computer shopping.

restart in Safe Mode (SHIFT key until you see the spinning gear)
Run MWB software
Remove Norton Anti-Virus - Macs do not get viruses - they get MalWare by clicking on something you should not

Please remove the Norton/Symantec product by following these instructions. If you have a different version of the product, the procedure may be different.
Back up all data before making any changes. Never install any "anti-virus" or "anti-malware" product again, including the "malwarebytes" product.

Restart the computer and see whether the problem goes away.
