Dec 4, 2015 1:37 AM in response to thomas fong1by bigschwabbel,You can have either ethernet or wifi, but you can't have both at the same time. ATV4 enables wifi only if there's not ethernet connection. It has been like that since ATV2. I don't expect Apple to change that ever.

Dec 4, 2015 1:44 AM in response to thomas fong1by Roger Wilmut1,As long as everything is on the same local network you should have no difficulty streaming via wifi to the router and then on from there to the ATV via ethernet as long as the router is also the wifi base, or if you have a separate wifi base only the router is handing out IP numbers through DHCP (i.e. the wifi base must be in 'bridge mode', passing on IP numbers handed out by the router). If you have both and they are both handing out IP numbers then anything connected to the router probably won't see anything connected to the wifi base unit. As long as you avoids that situation it should work perfectly well.

Dec 4, 2015 12:20 PM in response to thomas fong1by thomas fong1,Based on Roger's comment above I found a solution.
I have my modem from ATT and have my Airport Extreme wired to this modem. Previously I had my Apple TV 4 connected by ethernet to the modem. I could stream from the internet, but was unable to stream through wifi from iTunes to my Apple TV4, as the ethernet connection disables the wi-fi.
By simply connecting the Apple TV 4 by ethernet to the Airport Extreme, I can now stream content from iTunes on my computer.
Thank you everyone for the quick responses. - Thomas
