The warranty is one year from the date of original sale. If you buy a phone from an unauthorized vendor, you're buying a used phone. If it was originally sold more than a year ago, you will get no warranty. If it was originally sold less than a year ago, you will get whatever is left of he original warranty. You will not be able to purchase AppleCare or AppleCare+ for it. Also, keep in mind that the warranty is only valid in the country of original sale, so if it originally came from somewhere else, you will have to physically take it back to the country of origin for service.

Use the find a reseller link for your specific country - https://locate.apple.com/ to find an actual Apple Authorized Reseller. There are only a very few actual Apple Authorized web sellers, so odds are you are shopping with an unauthorized reseller.
