Ios9 how to close all tabs in safari

Is there a way to close all of the tabs in safari?

Mac OS X (10.7.3)

How was this considered the answer?! 🙂


The question was about iOS 9-- excuse me for not knowing how to right-click or two tap click on the X of a tab!!


It seems the answer applies to the Mac not the iPad or iPhone!


Clearing out all history and site data is a pretty sweeping bomb-throwing solution, not what's needed!


In iOS 10, there is supposed to be a way of doing this using the two overlapping squares icon.
